On February 28, 2019, the California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”) issued its Decision Accepting Draft 2018 Renewables Portfolio Standard (“RPS”) Procurement Plans (D.19-02-007).
The decision generally approves the RPS Procurement Plans of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (collectively, the “Large IOUs”). The decision approves the request of the Large IOUs to forego holding a 2018 RPS solicitation, and authorizes the utilities to conduct RPS sales solicitations, with specific modifications required in the decision. The decision also approves the RPS Procurement Plans of the small and multi-jurisdictional utilities, community choice aggregators, and electric service providers.
